Beyond the Comic Book

For the purpose of this site, I am only including written stories. Games, toys, and collectibles are too large a scope for me to incorporate (nor do they fit with this site's Mission Objective), and other sites do a well-enough job of mentioning them. For instance, see the bottom of Comic Vine's Moon Knight page for the "Other Media" subdivisions "Video Games" and "Merchandise."

Blade: The Series

“House Of Chthon” (Season 1, Ep. 1: June 28, 2006): Marc Spector is mentioned by name; plans to introduce the character in season 2 (with the potential to move on to his own TV series) fall through when the show is cancelled after only one season.

Avengers Assemble (animated)

“Avengers World” (Season 2, Ep. 26: Sep. 20, 2015): In this episode, Moon Knight is only a face on a monitor, as Captain America and Iron Man contemplate potential Avengers.

Ultimate Spider-Man (animated)

“The Moon Knight before Christmas” (Season 4, Ep. 24: Dec. 17, 2016): Moon Knight talks to the moon instead of Khonshu in this more juvenile cartoon.

Avengers Assemble (animated)

“Beyond” (Season 4, Ep. 18: Jan. 14, 2018): In this episode of the Secret Wars season, Captain America and Black Widow (his Secret Avengers partners in the comics) find themselves hard-pressed to defeat Moon Knight on Battleworld. After seeing this trio appear together in various appearances, it's interesting to see them in this wildly different dynamic.

Marvel's Spider-Man (animated)

"Vengeance of Venom" (Season 3, Ep. 3: Jun. 21, 2020): In this episode of the Maximum Venom season, Marc Spector has to save Spidey in the midst of an all-out Venom invasion, before bringing Moon Knight out of retirement to help him further when his team and the Avengers are venomized!

Moon Knight
(Disney+ series)

(Mar. 30 - May 4, 2022): A six-episode miniseries that brings Moon Knight into the MCU. Characters and characterizations are very different from the comics, but there are elements borrowed from some of the series, particularly the 2016 Jeff Lemire one. The villain gets his name (Arthur Harrow), but no other character aspects, from a villain that appeared in Moon Knight: Fist of Khonshu #2, and Marlene is thoroughly replaced by a female version of Marvel's little-known Egyptian superhero, the Scarlet Scarab (Roy Thomas's homage to DC's Blue Beetle). Her name is Layla El-Faouly, and she is Spector's wife(!), though Grant--the character we are first introduced to in the show--has no idea who she is.
